Out Of My Mind, Nov. - Dec. 2003, featured a great show of works by Carter Wellborn and Michael McAleer as well as a new sculpture by Richard Herzog.

Carter is the brother-in-law of folk art great Annie Wellborn and Carter’s work has taken off and is now collected internationally (a group of Carter’s works recently sold to a collector in France). The show at Lowery Gallery is the first gallery exhibition of Carter’s work.

Over 150 people came out for the reception for Children of the God, Daughters of the Moon - featuring dreamy paintings by Sarah Cook and fabulous art quilts by Sarah Hubbard and some great mixed-media work by Jason Hubbard.
